Job summary

The Village in Hartford, CT seeks a Clinician to deliver comprehensive behavioral health services across the lifespan. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual, family, and group therapy within a multidisciplinary team.

You'll coordinate with community partners, ensure HIPAA compliant documentation, and support clients toward recovery and wellness while benefiting from supervision, loan repayment opportunities, and tuition assistance offered by the agency.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field leading to clinical licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate outpatient clinical experience.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
• Experience providing individual, family, and/or group therapy.
• Knowledge of community resources and behavioral health systems.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Position Summary

Salary: starting at $54,000

The Clinician provides comprehensive behavioral health servicesand is responsible for coordinating all aspects of clinicaltreatment for assigned clients.

This position is ideal for clinicians who enjoy assessment andtreatment across the lifespan. The role includes conductingboth child and adult assessments, developingdiagnostic impressions, creating treatment plans, and deliveringtherapeutic services that promote lasting change.

What You'll Do

Clinical Assessment & Treatment

• Conduct comprehensive clinical and biopsychosocial assessmentsfor children, adolescents, and adults.
• Establish DSM-5 diagnoses in collaboration with supervisors,psychiatrists, medical providers, and clinical leadership as appropriate.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and service agreements.
• Implement evidence-based interventions and modify treatmentplans based on client progress.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy services.
• Deliver crisis intervention and stabilization support when needed.
• Coordinate discharge planning and facilitate connections tocommunity resources and supportive services.
• Provide ongoing case management and care coordination.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordancewith agency standards, HIPAA requirements, and funding regulations.
• Manage client records and treatment documentation.
• Meet established productivity and service delivery expectations.

Collaboration & Professional Development

• Participate in Peer Consultation and Quality Assurance Reviews.
• Collaborate with clinical, medical, educational, andadministrative staff to support positive client outcomes.
• Partner with colleagues to identify solutions for service gapsand unmet client needs.
• Maintain and strengthen skills in evidence-based treatment models.
• Engage in supervision and professional growth planning.
• Contribute to special projects, committees, workgroups, andagency initiatives.
• Represent The Village within community partnerships andprofessional networks.

Experience and Skills

Qualifications

Required

• Master's degree in:

  • Or another related behavioral health field leading toclinical licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate outpatient clinicalexperience (program dependent)
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
• Experience providing individual, family, and/or group therapy
• Knowledge of community resources, behavioral health systems, andchild welfare systems
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while utilizing supervision appropriately
• Strong computer and electronic documentation skills
