Job summary

Electric Machinery Company, a division of WEG Electric Corp., in Minneapolis, is seeking a Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of assigned projects from order receipt to contract fulfillment.

The role requires coordinating with Engineering, Purchasing, and Production, maintaining schedules and milestones, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Travel up to 5% is expected; a four-year degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Four year degree in Project Management, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience managing full-cycle projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads and directs development and execution of projects from receipt of order to fulfillment of the contract.
• Ensures customer satisfaction, develops relationships, and protects the Company’s position while maximizing objectives (quality, financial, schedule).
• Acts as single point of contact with customers and is the project expert internally.
• Creates and maintains project plans with cross-functional coordination (Engineering, Purchasing, Production).
• Establishes schedules, milestones, deliverables, and acceptance criteria; enters orders into ERP.
• Reviews PO/Contract requirements and participates in hand-over with Marketing/Sales.
• Keeps management informed of progress, risks, and opportunities; develops risk mitigation strategies.
• Coordinates customer inspections and testing; documents outcomes.
• Travel up to 5% to visit customer and vendor sites as required.
