Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an AP Specialist to join their accounting team in St Paul, MN. This permanent role focuses on the full AP cycle, high-volume invoice processing, accurate coding, and timely payments across internal departments.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of full-cycle AP experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems such as Infor/StarBuilder or Sage Intacct. You’ll help clear an AP backlog and support month-end close.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience preferred.
• Experience with invoice coding and routing for approval.
• Experience with multi-stakeholder approvals.
• Strong understanding of AP processes and accounting fundamentals.
• Backlog management while meeting deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and adaptable to new systems.
• Experience with Infor/StarBuilder or Sage Intacct or similar ERP.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to research and resolve discrepancies independently.
• Strong communication and collaboration with internal teams.
• Reliable and able to own assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice receipt, coding, routing, approval, and payment processing.
• Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Code invoices appropriately and route them to internal teams for approval.
• Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and outstanding items.
• Work with project managers and internal departments on coding and payment questions.
• Maintain electronic AP documentation and vendor records.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding issues.
• Assist with weekly check runs and electronic payment processing.
• Support month-end close with AP reconciliations and accurate records.
• Utilize accounting systems to process and track invoices.
• Assist with bringing outstanding AP items current and timely processing.
• Support additional accounting projects as assigned.
