Elliott, Robinson and Company, LLP in Springfield, MO is seeking an Accounting Specialist / Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our locally owned CPA firm. You will handle payroll, payroll taxes, sales and use taxes, monthly accounting, and prepare financial statements for our clients.

Responsibilities include bank reconciliations, processing payroll, year-end reporting (W-2s and 1099s), and managing accounts payable and receivable.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, including general ledger accounts, entry, and reconciliation.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a professional setting.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle payroll and payroll taxes for clients.
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns.
• Perform monthly accounting and prepare financial statements for business clients.
• Process check writing, bill pay, and maintain client financials.
• Prepare year-end reporting, including W-2s and 1099s.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
