Job Title: Full Charge Bookkeeper
Salary: $70,000 - $75,000
Location: New York City (Hybrid, 4days/week on-site: Monday-Thursday)

Job Summary:
A well-established Residential/Condominium property management and development company in New York City is seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) for multiple property portfolios. The role will report directly to the Senior Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage AP for multiple corporate entities and properties, including invoice scanning, entry into Yardi Payscan/ERP system, and initiating payments via ACH, wire transfers, and checks. Ensure all payments and documentation are filed accordingly.
  • Monitor corporate inboxes to input invoices into the system promptly.
  • Utilize bank-provided check scanners to deposit incoming checks, providing copies and necessary documentation to Property Accountants for accurate accounting.
  • Report weekly cash account activity to corporate offices in Los Angeles and investor headquarters in Hong Kong with detailed explanations.
  • Prepare monthly NYC office funding requests, reconciling actual expenses against the budget.
  • Track and manage cash flow to maintain liquidity, collaborating with the Senior Accountant and Regional Controller.
  • Contribute to streamlining AP/AR processes, including shifting from check and wire transfer processing to an ACH payment system.
  • Allocate corporate expenses across various entities and properties, ensuring proper reimbursement tracking.
  • Reconcile corporate credit card transactions, processing reimbursements for the East Region to the corporate office.
  • Handle intercompany management fees and reimbursements in collaboration with Property Accountants.
  • Process tenant security deposit receipts and refunds, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Liaise with property managers, accountants, leasing teams, and development staff to resolve AP and AR inquiries.
  • Assist with year-end 1099 preparation for the corporate office.
  • Ensure W-9 forms and Certificates of Insurance are current for vendors, collaborating with the sales & leasing and development teams.
  • Undertake special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe).
  • Experience with Yardi real estate ERP system is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
