Job summary

Stord is seeking a Test & Analytics Engineer to design experimental frameworks and run live tests within a high-volume fulfillment environment. You will develop analyses that inform technology deployments and workflow decisions across the network, with direct impact on fulfillment performance and efficiency.

This role bridges advanced analytics with real-world operations, requiring collaboration with warehouse teams, field feedback integration, and strong expertise in SQL, Python/R, and A/B

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a highly quantitative field; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in advanced analytics, process engineering, testing strategy, or operations analytics in high-volume logistics or 3PL environments.
• Strong expertise in statistical analysis and A/B testing with ability to derive significant conclusions from operational data.
• Advanced SQL skills for querying warehouse and fulfillment performance data.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Programming experience in Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with time-and-motion studies or process mapping in warehouse or manufacturing settings.
• Experience with digital twin or simulation models to evaluate slotting logic and warehouse workflows at scale.
• Ability to travel domestically 25% annually.

Responsibilities

• Define hypotheses, success metrics, and measurement frameworks for operational experiments in the lab environment.
• Establish governance to ensure experiments are structured, comparable, and ready for decision-making.
• Discontinue underperforming experiments to maintain agility and resource efficiency.
• Design, execute, and analyze multi-pass picking workflows to evaluate productivity and throughput.
• Collaborate with warehouse associates to ensure test conditions reflect real-world constraints.
• Model and evaluate inventory strategies, including multi-SKU binning and predictive replenishment.
• Translate experimental results into actionable recommendations for warehouse layout and logic.
• Work with field teams to align experimental design with day-to-day fulfillment operations.
