Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Houston, Sugar Land, Texas is seeking a Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician I to join our growing team. Under supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, you will fill and package prescriptions accurately and on time for delivery to customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required per state.
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration required; national certification preferred (PTCB).
• 1+ year of related experience; basic computer skills; able to meet deadlines and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate prescriptions.
• Apply labels to medication packaging and package accurately and timely.
• Alert pharmacist on duty to any medication scanning issues.
• Participate in training and development activities to gain proficiency in other Fulfillment workflow areas.
• Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply of medication available to complete all orders.
• Assist in maintaining inventory at appropriate levels, including removing expired or unused meds and stocking.
• Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to dispensing medications.
