Job summary

Walmart Distribution Center in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking an Area Manager to oversee a specific area within the fulfillment center and drive on-floor leadership, coaching hourly associates, and ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment for members.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will use data and KPIs to remove obstacles, improve safety, and advance your team's development through mentoring and targeted training. A degree in Business or Logistics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field.
• 1+ year supervisory experience in logistics or Walmart environment.
• 2 years' Walmart Logistics experience or 2 years' supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and training to hourly associates by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, and providing feedback to achieve operational KPIs.
• Monitor and analyze KPI metrics while implementing corrective action to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Collaborate with other area managers to drive efficiency and productivity within the fulfillment center.
• Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring associates are trained on policies, standards and procedures.
• Participate in initiatives to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve member satisfaction.
• Identify training needs and participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of hourly associates.
• Support hourly associates with mentoring and professional development.
