SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Fulfillment Buyer to manage end-to-end procurement across multiple commodities for various teams. You will issue POs, verify quotes, and ensure timely deliveries while resolving invoicing issues. The role emphasizes speed, integrity, and outstanding internal service.

The ideal candidate brings purchasing experience, excellent communication, and strong MS Office skills to support cost savings and supplier onboarding initiatives in a fast-moving environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsabilidades

• Review purchase requests and issue purchase orders accurately and timely.
• Ensure PO acknowledgments and alignment with SpaceX terms.
• Review quotes and obtain original promised dates from suppliers.
• Manage open order reports and deliveries; resolve invoice issues.
• Expedite parts as needed and provide internal customer service.
• Support cost savings initiatives and lead supplier onboarding.

FULFILLMENT BUYER (STARSHIP)

We are looking for individuals who can think outside the box to achieve company objectives regarding value and partnerships with our suppliers. Our organization moves quickly, and you must too. SpaceX has the unique ability and desire to influence and shape suppliers to be better with us as we challenge our supply chain on cost, quality and delivery. This Fulfillment Buyer will support Hawthorne’s purchases across multiple commodities, stakeholders (capital projects, facility management, production, etc.) and supply chain team clusters.

We are looking for the right person who is equipped and ready for these challenges to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review purchase request and issue purchase orders in a timely manner without error
• Ensure purchase orders are acknowledged by suppliers
• Review quotes to ensure those are complete and align with SpaceX terms
• Obtain the original promise date from suppliers
• Review open order reports and manage deliveries
• Resolve invoice issues and ensure that vendors are paid on time
• Expedite parts as necessary
• Act as customer service for SpaceX internal customers
• Support buyers in cost savings initiatives
• Lead miscellaneous procurement projectsLead supplier onboarding process

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree; or 4+ years of professional experience working in a supply chain, production, or engineering function in lieu of a degree

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Purchasing experience, specifically related to capital equipment or indirect buying
• Remarkable problem-solving skills with a bias for speed
• Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs
• Excellent customer service skills
• Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
• Strong technical knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Ability to conduct all activities with the highest degree of integrity
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work long hours and weekends as needed
• This position is based in Hawthorne, CA and requires being onsite - remote work not considered

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• Pay Range:
• Level 1: $27.00

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
