Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Fulfillment Buyer, Datacenters (Starlink) to manage indirect procurement for multiple Starlink locations. You will issue and track purchase orders, coordinate supplier deliveries, and resolve invoice issues while driving cost savings in a fast-moving environment.

Ideal candidates have a degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, strong communication skills, and a high level of integrity. Willingness to travel and extended hours are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR 4+ years of experience in supply chain or operations.
• Purchasing experience, specifically indirect buying.
• Strong problem-solving and prioritization abilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders quickly and without error
• Ensure purchase orders are acknowledged by suppliers
• Obtain the original promise date from suppliers
• Review open order reports and manage deliveries
• Resolve invoice issues and ensure vendors are paid on time
• Expedite parts as necessary
• Act as customer service for SpaceX internal customers
• Support buyers in cost savings initiatives
• Lead miscellaneous procurement projects

FULFILLMENT BUYER, DATACENTERS (STARLINK)

This Fulfillment Buyer within the Indirect Procurement team will support purchases for several Starlink locations. The Indirect Procurement team has aggressive objectives that positively impact our product and bottom line. We are looking for the right person who is equipped and ready for these challenges to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Issue purchase orders quickly and without error
• Ensure purchase orders are acknowledged by suppliers
• Obtain the original promise date from suppliers
• Review open order reports and manage deliveries

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree OR 4+ years of experience working in a supply chain or operations

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Purchasing experience, specifically related to Indirect buying
• Remarkable problem-solving skills with a bias for speed
• Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs
• Excellent customer service skills
• Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
• Strong technical knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Ability to conduct all activities with the highest degree of integrity
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment
• Ability to type >50 WPM

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed
• Must be willing to travel to other sites as needed
