Job summary

Cox in Tolleson, AZ is seeking a fuel distribution associate. You will distribute and log gasoline for company vehicles, enter usage data, start vehicles, check gauges, and ensure fuel availability. You will assist customers and support sale day activities while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications include a HS diploma/GED with 3 years in a related field or equivalent, plus a valid driver’s license. The role includes paid time off and holiday benefits. EOE.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Distribute and record gasoline disbursed in vehicles accurately.
• Enter fuel usage in AS400 via TC75.
• Start vehicles, check fuel gauges, and identify vehicles needing fuel.
• Report and record Auction gasoline levels and prevent running out in main fill area.
• Report inoperable vehicles to Supervisor or Assistant Manager.
• Jump start vehicles and inflate tires as needed.
• Assist customers in locating vehicles and support sale day duties.
• Assist in gasoline disbursement audits when necessary.
• Follow safety procedures and support Safety Excellence activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Distribute and accurately record gasoline disbursed in vehicles.
• Enter fuel usage in AS400 via TC75.
• Start vehicles, check fuel gages, mark vehicles that need fuel, and return to fuel them.
• Report and record Auction gasoline levels and alert proper person to avoid running out of gasoline in main fill area.
• Report inoperable vehicles to Supervisor or Assistant Manager.
• Jump start vehicles and put air in tires if needed
• Report damage or malfunctioning equipment on vehicles (i.e., pumps, fuel trucks).
• Assist customers in locating vehicles.
• Assist in sale day duties as needed (i.e., drive, act as lane leader, jump start vehicles, etc.).
• Assist in audits of gasoline disbursement when necessary.
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
• OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; OR 5 years' experience in a related field
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.

Preferred:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb
• Medium strength. Ability to lift 1-50 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to outdoor elements, including extreme heat and cold.
• Moderate noise level.

USD 15.10 - 22.69 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $15.10 - $22.69/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
