Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Distribute and accurately record gasoline disbursed in vehicles.
  • Enter fuel usage in AS400 via portable terminal (PT).
  • Start vehicles, check fuel gauges, mark vehicles that need fuel, and return to fuel them.
  • Report and record auction gasoline levels and alert the proper person to avoid running out of gasoline in the main fill area.
  • Report inoperable vehicles to Supervisor or Assistant Manager.
  • Report damage or malfunctioning equipment on vehicles (e.g., pumps, fuel trucks).
  • Tire plugging/repair.
  • Assist customers in locating vehicles.
  • Assist in sale day duties as needed (e.g., drive, act as lane leader, jump start vehicles, etc.).
  • Assist in audits of gasoline disbursement when necessary.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors.
  • Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field, or a different combination such as any level degree or certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline, or 5 years’ experience in a related field.

Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.

Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Schedule

Tuesday-Friday 7:30 am-4:30 pm; Saturday 7:00 am-4:00 pm.

Work Environment

Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, occasional exposure to outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts, electrical shock hazard and toxic or caustic chemicals. Moderate noise level. Exposed to the elements outdoors.

Drug Testing

Pre‑employment drug test required; Cox does not administer a drug test for marijuana, but the company is a drug‑free workplace. Possession, use or being under the influence of drugs illegal under federal or state law during work hours, on company property, and/or in company vehicles is prohibited.

Benefits

Employees are eligible for a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays annually. Additional paid time off may be available for bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer, military, and parental leave.
