Job summary

Keolis Transit America in Hesperia, CA is hiring a night-shift driver/attendant. The role requires CDL Class B or A with Passenger and airbrakes endorsements, or ability to obtain permit, and 21+ years old.

You will perform vehicle prep, cleaning, and safety checks, assist maintenance, and ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT guidelines. The position involves lifting up to 50 pounds and working outdoors in all weather.

• Work area maintained per OSHA/EPA regulations.
• Assist maintenance staff and manager as needed.

Schedule: 7pm - 330am, must be able to work holidays and weekends

Location: Hesperia

Knowledge and Experience:

• Due to insurance requirements, MUST be over 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have CDL Class B or A with Passenger and airbrakes endorsements or be able to obtain the CDL permit (Class B w/Passenger endorsement) prior to start.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Able to work without direct supervision.
• Must be able to work in and outdoors in all weather conditions

Key Accountabilities:

• All vehicles completely fueled and ready for service.
• Vehicle exteriors and interiors cleaned according to the contract.
• Vehicle emergency equipment (fire extinguisher, body-fluid kit, first aid kit) fully stocked and functional.
• Any fleet damage documented and communicated to the manager.
• Work area maintained according to all OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Shop area cleaned, mopped and trash disposed of daily.
• Facility cleaning as needed to include trash, windows, restrooms and vacuuming
• Post notices in vehicles as required by client.
• Insure all vehicles contain system brochures.
• Assist maintenance staff and manager as needed.

• Operations Supervisors and Managers may split their work between an office setting looking at a computer screen/electronic device and active transit field locations driving in a vehicle.
• Maintenance Employees may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals in a ventilated maintenance shop and may work with personal computers, laptops, electronic hand-held devices, complex electrical schematics, diagnostic software and testing devices, and other heavy machinery.
• Office Staff may work indoors in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities, including offices and cubicle spaces equipped with a telephone and computer and may entail typing or looking at a computer screen.
