Job summary

Great Lakes Petroleum Co. is hiring a driver in Towson, MD. You will deliver petroleum products to company sites and customers, load/unload, and ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations.

The role requires a valid CDL (Class A or B) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. TWIC is required or obtainable within 30 days. Overtime and safety bonuses are offered; home daily routes apply. Prior hazmat experience is preferred and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL class A or B with an acceptable driving record per DOT/FMCSA.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are REQUIRED.
• TWIC credential required or can be obtained within 30 days after hire.
• Prior fuel, petroleum, or hazmat transportation experience preferred.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment drug testing.
• Subject to random drug and alcohol testing per regulations.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA qualification standards, including Medical Certificate.

Description

This position is responsible for the proper and efficient completion of assigned duties and operation of their vehicle. Drivers are responsible for delivering petroleum products to company owned sites and customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks with petroleum products adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations.
• Safely operates trucks according to Company policies and state/federal laws.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and performs safety inspections on trucks, equipment and\/or facilities as required by Company policy.
• Maintains miscellaneous service duties such as checking oil, water, fuel, tires and tank related items on a daily basis.
• Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established Company procedures.
• Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers on a daily basis.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay range: $22 to $27 per hour (based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location).
• Overtime opportunities available in accordance with applicable laws.
• Quarterly safety bonuses (eligible after 120 days of employment).
• Monthly performance bonus based on gallons delivered (eligible after 120 days of employment).
