Job summary

GLP Transit in Baltimore, MD is seeking a local delivery driver to efficiently transport petroleum products to company sites and customers. You will load/unload, perform daily vehicle checks, and coordinate with dispatchers to ensure timely deliveries.

The role requires a valid CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, TWIC or the ability to obtain one within 30 days, and compliance with DOT/FMCSA safety standards. Weekend work and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A/B CDL with acceptable driving record.
• Hazmat and tanker endorsements are mandatory.
• TWIC badge required or obtainable within 30 days.
• Prior fuel, petroleum or hazmat transport experience preferred.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment drug test; subject to random testing.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA qualification standards including Medical Exam Certificate.
• Ability to work weekends and extended hours.

Description

This position is responsible for the proper and efficient completion of assigned duties and operation of their vehicle. Drivers are responsible for delivering petroleum products to company owned sites and customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks with petroleum products adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations.
• Safely operates trucks according to Company policies and state/federal laws.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and performs safety inspections on trucks, equipment and\/or facilities as required by Company policy.
• Maintains miscellaneous service duties such as checking oil, water, fuel, tires and tank related items on a daily basis.
• Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established Company procedures.
• Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers on a daily basis.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay range: $22 to $27 per hour (based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location).
• Overtime opportunities available in accordance with applicable laws.
• Quarterly safety bonuses (eligible after 120 days of employment).
• Monthly performance bonus based on gallons delivered (eligible after 120 days of employment).
