Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Las Vegas, NV seeks a Fueler Service Technician to fuel, inspect, and service inbound units. The role includes maintaining fuel inventories, performing minor maintenance, and ensuring site safety and reliability.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 2+ years of related work, English proficiency, and strong customer service. CDL-A is preferred; training and advancement opportunities are available within a safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two+ years of related work experience preferred.
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated customer service skills; able to understand customers.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Basic computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
• High degree of thoroughness and dependability.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work at different locations and build professional relationships.
• CDL Class A preferred; safety regulated position.

Responsibilities

• Fuel, wash and detail vehicles.
• Perform multi-point inspections on inbound units as required by policies.
• Record fuel activity and maintain inventories and reconciliation.
• Move heavy duty vehicles.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as tire repairs under supervision.
• Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Hours: Tuesday-Friday 10:00am-6:30pm and Saturday 6:00am-2:30pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Two (2) years or more of related work experience, preferred
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated customer service skills; must be able to understand customer's verbal communication
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Understanding of computer hardware and software, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and email; must have basic computer skills and ability to perform data entry
• High degree of thoroughness and dependability

• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three (3) years

Important Note

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

• Fuel, wash and detail vehicles
• Perform multi-point inspection on inbound units as required by company policies and procedures; check tire pressure; check oil; report service issues to shop
• Record fuel activity and maintain proper fuel and DEF inventories and reconciliation
• Move heavy duty vehicles
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as tire repairs, initially under close supervision
• Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policies; perform some facility maintenance and minor maintenance tasks assigned by supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned
