Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a Fueler Service Technician in St. Charles, IL. The role offers a stable career path with weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include fueling, vehicle detailing, inspections, and inventory control. Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED, strong customer service, and basic computer skills; CDL A is preferred and obtain CDL within 6 months may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Up to one year of experience preferred / no experience required.
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated customer service skills; understand customer verbal communication.
• Read and understand codes and instructions on the computer; basic computer skills.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including shift work, weekends, and holidays; travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Fuel vehicles.
• Wash and detail vehicles; move heavy duty vehicles.
• Perform multi-point inspection on inbound units per policy; check tire pressure; report service issues.
• Record fuel activity and maintain fuel and DEF inventories.
• Keep fuel island area clean and safe per Six Sigma standards.
• Perform facility maintenance and minor repairs as assigned.
• Change tires and inspect refrigeration units on trucks.
• Handle trash removal and other duties as assigned.

• Hourly Pay:$26.24 per hour
• Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
• Hours: First Shift Tuesday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Saturday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Up to one (1) year of experience preferred /no experience required
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated customer service skills; must be able to understand customer's verbal communication
• Understanding of computer hardware and software, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and email. Must be able to read and understand codes and instructions on the computer; must have basic computer skills and ability to perform data entry Must be 18 years of age or older
• High degree of thoroughness and dependability; must be able to work flexible schedules including shift work, weekends,and holidays; must be able to work at different locations
• Ability to:
• Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors)
• Work independently and as a member of a team

• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred
• DOT Safety Regulated Position; This position requires for you to drive Ryder vehicles. In order to become a Ryder employee you must:
• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
