Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Fueler Service Technician in Fort Myers, FL, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and opportunities for career advancement. The role includes fueling, vehicle detailing, inspections, and basic maintenance in a safety‑mocused environment.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong English communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to work flexible shifts and at multiple locations. CDL‑A is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years or more of related work experience preferred.
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills; must understand customer's verbal communication.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Understanding of computer hardware and software; basic computer skills and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Fuel, wash and detail vehicles.
• Perform multi-point inspection on inbound units per company policies; check tire pressure, oil; report issues.
• Record fuel activity and maintain proper fuel and DEF inventories and reconciliation.
• Move heavy duty vehicles.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as tire repairs under close supervision.
• Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policies; assist with facility maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Two (2) years or more of related work experience, preferred
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated customer service skills; must be able to understand customer's verbal communication
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Understanding of computer hardware and software, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and email; must have basic computer skills and ability to perform data entry

• Pass a Ryder road test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three (3) years
