Job summary

TAIT is hiring a Fuel Systems Technician to perform electrical, construction, maintenance, testing and repair work on commercial fuel systems in a field-based role with a path to a Construction Foreman position.

Initial training is provided, with extensive travel (overnight) during and after training. You will install conduit, test UST/AST systems, and support a variety of projects while collaborating with experienced field professionals.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of related commercial electrical construction, installation, and supervision experience.
• Knowledge of NEC requirements and commercial power distribution, lighting, and low‑voltage systems.
• ICC UST and Veeder Root certifications preferred.
• HAZWOPER certificate (24- or 40-hour) or current 8-hour refresher.
• Valid driver’s license; Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate conduit and wiring for fuel system components and emergency generator equipment.
• Test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair UST/AST systems and related electrical/electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Perform monitoring, secondary containment, spill bucket, and vapor recovery testing.
• Support construction/repair projects and respond to maintenance and service calls.
• Complete daily logs and progress reports; meet project deadlines.
