Job summary

AECOM is seeking a passionate Electrical Engineer to join our Atlanta team. You will work on challenging fuel systems projects for DoD and commercial clients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and gaining field experience through travel opportunities.

You will develop discipline design execution plans, perform detailed calculations, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or a related field and 6 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 6 years experience in buildings and facilities engineering with specific experience in the design of modifications to low voltage (480 V and below) electrical power systems for commercial, government and institutional facilities.
• Experience with Autocad (4+ years), Revit (3+ years), Microsoft Office, Bluebeam.
• Familiar with SKM, AGi32 or similar calculations and modeling software.
• Due to the nature of work, U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver's license and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
• Ability to pass background checks and gain access to military installations.
• Ability to travel one week at a time, dependent on project, within the US and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design on fuel reception, transfer, and storage systems.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, and mechanical engineers on multidisciplinary projects.
• Develop discipline design execution plans and ensure on-schedule, within-budget delivery.
• Train and supervise junior engineers in fueling design work.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for construction.
• Travel to construction sites for electrical inspections.
