Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Fuel Systems Engineering Designer in Frisco, TX. You will design and draft mechanical projects (HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, fire protection, fuel systems) under senior staff guidance, coordinating with multi-discipline teams and ensuring compliance with client requirements and codes.

You will produce construction documents and support project teams through design development and approvals, with a hybrid work arrangement (1–2 in-office days).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 0-2 years of experience with general building mechanical design production.
• EIT preferred; AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to identify practical uses for AI tools to improve team processes and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design tasks and reports under the direction of senior staff.
• Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations and generate reports/recommendations.
• Assist in maintaining task budgets.
• Coordinate and assist with addendums, RFIs and change orders.
• Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout design development and contract document phases.
• Assist senior staff with the project approval process.
• Other related responsibilities as necessary.
