Job summary

Guardian Fueling Technologies seeks a Fuel Quality Technician to perform on-site fuel quality testing at gas stations and facilities, troubleshoot electro-mechanical issues, and conduct routine and unscheduled maintenance on field equipment. The role emphasizes courteous, professional customer service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include operating mobile filtration equipment, handling hoses, reading schematics, maintaining tools and van, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma/GED and/or one to three years mechanical and electrical experience.
• Excellent people skills and verbal communication is necessary.
• Knowledge of reading schematics and manuals.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Skilled in providing excellent customer relations with courtesy and consideration.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization internally and externally.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and service manuals.
• Ability to perform arithmetic and follow instructions precisely.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and maintain equipment.
• Must obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mobile Fuel Filtration equipment (company truck with trailer).
• Pull and maneuver hoses to scan tanks and sweep bottoms for testing.
• Operate electric generators, compressors, and pumps as needed.
• Analyze break downs and advise customers on corrective actions.
• Provide professional, courteous customer service and promote goodwill.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment for contracted customers.
• Open/close work orders and document repairs clearly and timely.
• Maintain inventory in the service van and keep it organized.
• Adhere to safety rules and dispose of hazardous waste properly.
• Obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card as required.
