Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering; or MS with a B.S. in another ABET field
• Minimum 4 years engineering experience; 1 year nuclear experience
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux, and programming (FORTRAN/Python/VBA)

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise to identify, analyze and resolve routine fuel mechanical performance problems
• Prepare technical reports, calculations and sketches for resolution of problems
• Support emergent work and multi-task with shifting priorities
• Review fuel design and manufacturing changes for approval/rejection
• Develop fuel/core component design specs and perform lifetime analyses and tracking
• Ensure high quality fuel delivered to plants on time and within specs
