Job summary

Byard Construction, LLC is seeking a Fuel & Lube Truck Driver to operate our fuel truck across multiple active job sites in the Greater Clarksville Area. You will coordinate between shop and field to supply fuel and field support to keep equipment ready for civil construction projects.

We seek long-term candidates with a safety‑conscious mindset, the ability to work independently or with a team, and a valid Class B CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.

Join our team as a Fuel & Lube Truck Driver!

Byard Construction, LLC is seeking a Fuel & Lube Truck Driver to operate our fuel truck as a part of our Maintenance Division. This driver driver will play a vital role in moving from jobsite to jobsite, coordinating between our shop and the field to supply fuel and other field support when and where necessary. These drivers play a vital role in keeping our equipment ready to use in all manner of civil construction projects including clearing, grading, excavation, utility, and paving, contributing directly to the efficiency and success of our operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Safely and efficiently operate our fuel and lube truck, taking the necessary resources to wherever needed at any of our dozens of active jobsites across the Greater Clarksville Area.
• Fuel a variety of construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, skid-steers, wheel loaders, haulers, and more.
• Ensure proper fueling procedures are followed to prevent equipment damage and ensure maximum performance.
• Monitor and manage fuel levels, reporting any discrepancies or issues to management.
• Perform basic pre-operation inspections, including checking fluid levels (oil, water, coolant) and identifying potential maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate fuel logs and inventory records, ensuring proper documentation of fuel usage.
  
• Assist with general equipment upkeep, including cleaning equipment and ensuring it is prepared for operation.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in fueling equipment or working in a construction or heavy equipment environment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Drug-free and 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift and carry over 50 lbs.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• A Class B CDL with the Haz Mat & Tanker (X) Endorsement.
