NDX LLC. is seeking an Equipment Fuel & Preventative Maintenance Technician to safely fuel, inspect, and perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment.

The role emphasizes accurate records, safety compliance, and proactive reporting of maintenance needs. Responsibilities include operating a fuel truck safely, daily equipment inspections, logging fuel and hours, and conducting scheduled preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of clean driving record with hazmat endorsement.
  • Current and valid Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement.
  • DOT physical card up to date.
  • OSHA 10 card maintained.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.
  • Reliable and able to handle high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate fuel truck in compliance with safety policies and laws.
  • Inspect equipment daily and report issues to shop foreman.
  • Fuel equipment daily; log gallons pumped and hours.
  • Ensure grease fittings are functional on each machine.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance at 250–500 hour intervals.
  • Collect engine, transmission, and coolant samples and log service hours.

Job description

The Equipment Fuel & Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely fueling, inspecting, and performing routine preventative maintenance on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety. This role requires accurate recordkeeping, compliance with all company safety policies and federal/state regulations, and proactive identification and reporting of maintenance and repair needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate fuel truck in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.Adhere to all State and Federal Laws. Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions, including, but not limited to; utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and the general public.
  • Conduct equipment inspections daily on all equipment serviced. Report any mechanical issues or damage to shop foreman at the end of each shift. (Pictures required)
  • Fuel each piece of equipment daily. Log gallons pumped and current hours of machine on daily log.
  • Ensure that each grease fitting is present and will accept grease, on each individual machine.
  • Check filters and blow out air / cab filters once per week.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance at 250–500-hour service intervals.
  • Collect and submit engine, transmission, and coolant samples.
  • Change engine oil and filters; record service hours and maintenance in company logs.
  • Complete equipment safety inspections and report repair needs.

Requirements:

  • 3+ yr. clean driving record with hazmat endorsement.
  • Current and valid commercial Class A CDL w/ hazmat endorsement.
  • Provide and maintain current DOT physical card.
  • A valid OSHA 10 card must be maintained.
  • Be able to lift 50lbs. Ability to work outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions.
  • Dependable and reliable.
  • Experience operating and handling heavy construction equipment.
  • Always professional and consistent in communication with others. Be able to stay calm and defuse confrontational situations.
  • Must be willing to participate in random drug testing.
