Job summary

Delta Western LLC, a NorthStar Energy and Saltchuk affiliate, seeks an Operations Assistant to support fuel logistics in Bethel, AK. This full-time role focuses on coordinating logistics, managing inventory, and handling documentation to ensure a seamless supply of fuel and packaged products to customers.

You will work with drivers, terminals, and customers to ensure safe, timely fuel deliveries while maintaining accurate records and upholding safety standards in a dynamic Alaska environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in logistics is a plus.
• Prior experience in logistics, fuel operations, or a similar field preferred.
• Strong data entry and documentation skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate fuel transportation logistics including scheduling and tracking deliveries.
• Monitor fuel and package product inventories and maintain records.
• Prepare and review shipping documents and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Collaborate with quality control and participate in fuel sampling as needed.
• Enter data into inventory management systems and generate reports.
• Communicate with customers about delivery schedules and status; assist with purchases.
• Follow safety protocols and report hazards or concerns.
• Inspect and maintain delivery equipment for safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, and terminal operators to ensure timely deliveries.
• Be prepared to assist in emergency response per procedures.
• Provide administrative support to fuel operations management including schedules and reports.
• Open and close registers and transaction logs; perform other duties as assigned.
