Job summary

Plug Power Inc. in Georgia is seeking a Field Service Technician to support fuel cell products installed in electric lift trucks at customer sites within the region.

The role involves preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and resolving breakdowns, plus installation and servicing of fuel cells at a dedicated location. This position requires strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, safe work practices, and clear customer communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• 3+ years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a location.
• Field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• On-call and emergency support service as required.
• Purchasing tools, equipment, and parts for service.
• Travel as required and safe driving.
• Report breakdown events and maintain service logs.
• Exhibit and enforce safety procedures in the field.
• Coordinate with hydrogen suppliers as needed.
• Complete admin duties and documentation.
