Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Fueler Service Technician in Spokane, WA. The role offers stability, weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. You will fuel vehicles, perform inspections, and support maintenance tasks across locations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and strong customer service and English communication skills. CDL-A is preferred but not required; a path to CDL is available within 6 months after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Up to one year of experience preferred or no experience required.
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills; must understand customer's verbal communication.
• Basic computer skills including reading codes and data entry; ability to use word processing, spreadsheets, and email.

Responsibilities

• Fuel vehicles.
• Wash and detail vehicles; move heavy duty vehicles.
• Perform multi-point inspection on inbound units; check tire pressure and report issues.
• Record fuel activity and maintain fuel/DEF inventories.
• Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards.
• Perform facility maintenance and minor tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Change tires; inspect refrigeration units on trucks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Up to one (1) year of experience preferred /no experience required
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated customer service skills; must be able to understand customer's verbal communication
• Understanding of computer hardware and software, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and email. Must be able to read and understand codes and instructions on the computer; must have basic computer skills and ability to perform data entryMust be 18 years of age or older
• High degree of thoroughness and dependability; must be able to work flexible schedules including shift work, weekends,and holidays; must be able to work at different locations
• Ability to:

• Empty trash
• Perform other duties as assigned
