Job summary

Ezee Fiber is seeking a FTTH Network Technician to configure, install and test equipment in our FTTH control facilities. The role involves maintaining DC power systems, active Ethernet devices, and PON OLT systems, and installing fiber optic cabling outdoors along roadside cabinets.

You will work with the Network Engineering group, provide field support, and help maintain inventory and documentation. Expect up to 30% travel and outdoor work, with lifting requirements up to 55 pounds.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience Requirements: Associate degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with telecom facilities installations and grounding/power cabling.
• DC power systems and cable management experience required.
• At least 2 years in Installer/Technician roles and ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
• Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain DC power systems, battery banks, and Telecom Inverters.
• Grounding and power cabling of devices.
• Install and maintain facilities sensor equipment.
• Routine monitoring of facilities' environment.
• Installation and testing of FTTH services and equipment.
• Provide field support to Network Engineering group.
• Collect documentation for FTTH facilities.
• Maintain FTTH network equipment inventory.
• Testing and validation of new FTTH zones.
• Provide technical expertise to other departments.
• Maintain relationships with contractors and internal contacts.
