Job summary

Ezee Fiber is looking for a FTTH Network Technician to configure, install, and test equipment in our control facilities. This role involves outdoor field work, maintenance of DC power systems, OLT devices, and fiber cabling.

You will collaborate with engineering to complete installations on aggressive timelines and support various departments. The technician will install and test FTTH services, manage documentation and inventory, and travel within territories as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science, IT, telecommunications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with telecom facilities installations.
• Basic understanding of networking components.
• Professional experience with DC power systems and cabling.
• Cable management of fiber optic cabling.
• At least 2 years in Installer/Technician role.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
• General computer fluency.
• Excellent verbal & written communication.
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Install & maintain DC power systems, Battery Banks, Telecom Inverters.
• Grounding and power cabling of devices.
• Install & maintain facilities sensor equipment.
• Routine monitoring of facilities environment.
• Installation & testing of FTTH services & equipment.
• Provide field support to Network Engineering group.
• Collect documentation for FTTH facilities.
• Assist in maintaining FTTH network equipment inventory.
• Testing & validation of new FTTH zones.
• Provide technical expertise to other departments.
• Maintain relationships with contractors & internal contacts.
