Job summary

GFiber, an Alphabet company, is hiring a Technical Operations Manager specializing in OSP Engineering to support FTTH deployment. You will oversee design and permitting for SFUs, MDUs, and SBUs, coordinating with the OSP team on project activities and financial reporting.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in outside plant projects, with GIS/ESRI and shapefile skills, plus vendor and cross-functional coordination for successful deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Construction Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 5 years of experience managing scalable OSP FTTH or outside plant projects.
• Experience with inside and outside plant fiber optic network infrastructure, engineering design and construction.
• Experience with GIS and ESRI GIS software and shapefile functionality.

Responsibilities

• Support Network Deployment and Operations by managing the engineering practices of GFiber’s OSP Fiber to the Home (FTTH) network.
• Oversee design and permitting for SFUs, MDUs, and SBUs and coordinate with the OSP network team on project activities and reporting.
• Interface with GFiber Outside Plant (OSP) network team to coordinate progress, financial reporting, and change management.
• Manage production with various vendors to ensure they follow guidelines and standards.
