Job summary

Lyte Fiber, LLC, a Houston-based fiber broadband startup, seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead fiber-to-the-premises projects, manage budgets and timelines, and coordinate with design, permitting, and construction teams.

The candidate will liaise with city authorities and stakeholders, ensure compliance with regulations, and drive project closeout. 5+ years in telecom PM is required; PMP is desirable; travel up to 20% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in telecommunications, with a focus on OSP fiber design and construction.
• PMP or comparable certification desirable; strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review project scope and contracts; develop work plans and schedules within budget.
• Manage day-to-day operations to ensure on-time delivery (design, permitting, construction, go-live).
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders; provide progress reports and manage change requests.
• Forecast timelines and resources; report risks to management and propose mitigations.
• Collaborate with OSP Engineering/Ops to ensure alignment and smooth handoffs to construction.
