Job summary

MUSC Health Florence Medical Center is seeking a full-time, state certified pharmacy technician to join the inpatient team in Florence, South Carolina. You will assist with preparation and distribution of medications, including IV chemotherapy, under pharmacist supervision, and complete medication-related documentation.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma and completion of a certified technician program; hospital experience and sterile IV compounding are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; college-level courses desirable but not required; successful completion of a certified pharmacy technician training program required
• Two or more years hospital/health system experience preferred
• Sterile IV compounding experience preferred
• State Certified Pharmacy Technician license required

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and distribution of medications, including IV chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy IV doses
• Complete medication-related documentation under supervision of pharmacists
• Support inpatient pharmacy operations and patient care activities
