Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina Florence Medical Center is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our inpatient team in Florence, SC. You will work under direct supervision of pharmacists to prepare and distribute medications, including IV chemotherapy, and complete medication documentation.

The ideal candidate has a State Certified Pharmacy Technician credential, a high school diploma, and preferably two years of hospital experience; sterile IV compounding is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; successful completion of a certified pharmacy technician training program required.
• Preferred two or more years of experience in a hospital or health system.
• Sterile IV compounding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all pharmacy operations related to the preparation and distribution of medications, including IV chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy IV doses.
• Complete medication-related documentation under the direct supervision of pharmacists.
