Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Candidate Outreach: Contact candidates by phone, coordinate interviews, and assist in interview processes with HR and facility managers.
• Recruitment Management: Maintain accurate job postings in ADP, update job descriptions, and collaborate with the social media team to promote open positions.
• Facility Coordination: Work with 3+ managers across dining facilities to track open and filled positions.
• Base Pass Requests: Submit base pass requests to the government for new hires and current employees.
• Uniform Issuance: Distribute uniforms to new hires and assist during short-staff periods.
• HR Support: Assist employees with direct deposits, W-4s, uniform distribution, complaints, and other HR inquiries.
• Data & System Management: Enter new hires in payroll and clock systems; verify start dates via E-Verify.
• Orientation & Compliance: Conduct new hire orientation and ensure proper documentation via Adobe software.
• Administrative Duties: Manage uniforms, name badges, and recruitment office supplies; maintain employee profiles.
• Record Keeping: Use Excel to track job orders and hiring progress.
• Collaboration & Teamwork: Work with the HR Manager and assist in full-circle HR duties.

Job Description

Join our growing team! We are a government food service contractor providing essential services to military troops at FT. SAM HOUSTON Dining Facilities with a workforce of 350+ employees and expanding, we seek a dedicated HR Recruiter to support our hiring efforts and manage recruitment processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Candidate Outreach: Contact candidates by phone, coordinate interviews, and assist in interview processes with HR and facility managers.
• Recruitment Management: Maintain accurate job postings in ADP, update job descriptions, and collaborate with the social media team to promote open positions.
• Facility Coordination: Work with 3+ managers across dining facilities to track open and filled positions.
• Base Pass Requests: Submit base pass requests to the government for new hires and current employees.
• Uniform Issuance: Distribute uniforms to new hires. May be asked to assist in distributing uniforms if short staff to current employees who are receiving anniversary uniforms or those changing positions.
• HR Support: Assist employees with direct deposit updates, W-4s, uniform distribution, complaints, and other HR-related inquiries.
• Data & System Management: Enter new hires in the payroll system, clock system, and verify start dates via E-Verify.
• Orientation & Compliance: Conduct new hire orientation, review electronic policy signings, and ensure proper documentation via Adobe software.
• Administrative Duties: Manage uniforms, name badges, recruitment office supplies, and maintain employee profiles in the system.
• Record Keeping: Utilize Excel spreadsheets to track job orders and hiring progress.
• Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with the HR Manager and be prepared to assist in full-circle HR duties when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in HR and at least 1 year in recruitment.
• Software Knowledge: Familiarity with ADP, Pay Clock preferred; experience with other payroll or timekeeping systems will be considered.
• Skills: Strong communication with managers, supervisors, and employees. Ability to type 45+ WPM, scan documents, and use office equipment (fax, computer, etc.).
• Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in Spanish or American Sign Language.
• Work Ethic: Must be a proactive team player, capable of handling high call volumes and multitasking in a busy environment.

Other job assignments may be given by HR Mgr/Project Mgr.

$19.25 per hour. Will explain other benefits such as vacation pay, and holiday pay and medical insurance.

Must have a vehicle with a valid driver license to travel to job fairs.

Must be able to obtain base access upon hire, annually and when requests are resubmitted due to expiration.

Requirements: This position requires obtaining base installation access, completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI), and a CAC Card to access government systems. Familiarity with military personnel is essential

Note:

This position's primary focus is Recruiting; however, the employee may be cross-trained in additional HR responsibilities, including timekeeping and administrative support functions, to ensure uninterrupted operations during employee absences. Other duties may be assigned by the HR Manager or Project Manager based on organizational needs.
