Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is hiring a full-time PreOp/PACU RN for the Bristol Ambulatory Surgery Center. The role provides continuity and high-quality nursing care from preoperative through post-anesthesia discharge, focusing on patient safety, comfort, and privacy.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license in the state, a graduate of an accredited RN program, and BLS/ACLS (PALS if required). PACU/CCU experience and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • Active RN license in the state.
  • BLS and ACLS Required; PALS if required by the center.
  • 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide total comprehensive patient care for patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to ensure safety, comfort and privacy.
  • Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile technique as appropriate.

Bristol Ambulatory Surgery Center is hiring a FT PreOp PACU RN!

Welcome to Bristol Ambulatory Surgery Center, where exceptional care meets innovation, and health and care are truly inseparable!

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state
  • BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
  • 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
