Job summary

United Surgical Partners International invites applications for a Full Time Pre OP PACU RN at FL-South County Outpatient Surgery Center. This role provides continuous, high-quality nursing care to patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy and supporting physicians in the perioperative environment.

Qualifications include RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS as required), and 2 years PACU/CCU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients emerging from anesthesia, with safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Perform assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient and family care before discharge.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and privacy at all times.
• Prioritize workload to meet needs of patients and the unit.
• Maintain clear, effective communication with patients, families and the care team.

Pre OP PACU RN at FL-South County Outpatient Surgery Center

The Pre OP PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient\'s condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
