Job summary

Western Home Communities is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our mission-driven therapy team. This full-time position splits time between Cedar Falls and Grundy campuses, delivering individualized therapy to adult and geriatric residents in post-acute, long-term, and transitional care settings.

You’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and provide supervision for Occupational Therapy Assistants while maintaining high standards of care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Active (or eligible) Iowa Occupational Therapy license.
• Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
• Professional judgment and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and deliver effective occupational therapy treatments in accordance with state practice guidelines.
• Provide direct care to adult and geriatric patients in post-acute, long-term, and transitional care settings.
• Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans and achieve positive outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on therapy goals, techniques, and progress.
• Provide appropriate supervision and guidance for Occupational Therapy Assistants.
