Job summary

Western Home Communities in Cedar Falls and Grundy Campus is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our full-time therapy team. You’ll empower adults and geriatric residents to regain independence and improve quality of life through individualized interventions.

Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, you’ll develop care plans, educate patients and families, supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, and ensure therapy aligns with state guidelines and best practices.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Active (or eligible) Iowa Occupational Therapy license.
• Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
• Professional judgment and problem-solving ability.
• A passion for helping others achieve their best quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and deliver effective occupational therapy treatments in accordance with state practice guidelines.
• Provide direct care to adult and geriatric patients in post-acute, long-term, and transitional care settings.
• Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans and achieve positive outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on therapy goals, techniques, and progress.
• Provide appropriate supervision and guidance for Occupational Therapy Assistants.
