Job summary

Western Home Communities in Madrid, IA is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to assess, plan, and deliver tailored therapy services for adult and geriatric residents in post-acute and long-term care settings.

You will educate patients and families, collaborate with the care team, supervise OT assistants, and ensure treatments align with state guidelines and best practices.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Active Iowa OT license or eligibility.
• Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate, plan, and deliver effective occupational therapy treatments in accordance with state practice guidelines.
• Provide direct care to adult and geriatric patients in post-acute, long-term, and transitional care settings.
• Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans and achieve positive outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on therapy goals, techniques, and progress.
• Provide appropriate supervision and guidance for Occupational Therapy Assistants.
