Job summary

Aventura Healthcare Group is seeking a Maintenance Director for Aventura at Pembrooke. Lead maintenance operations to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Manage a team, oversee critical building systems, and drive preventive maintenance programs in a healthcare setting. This role requires hands-on leadership with strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, plus budgeting and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or facilities management.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a maintenance team.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and move equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support a team of maintenance technicians, custodians, and groundskeepers.
• Oversee housekeeping dept and maintenance of facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
• Develop and manage maintenance schedules, preventive maintenance programs, and departmental budgets.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed efficiently with minimal disruption to residents and daily operations.
• Coordinate and supervise work performed by outside contractors and service vendors.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
• Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in facility maintenance and management.
• Flexible in working any given shift, especially on weekends.

Aventura at Pembrooke is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Director to lead our facility maintenance operations and ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including repairs, preventative maintenance, renovations, and capital improvement projects.
