Job summary

Aventura at Pembrooke is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to lead our facility maintenance operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff. You will oversee repairs, preventative maintenance, renovations, and capital projects, while building a capable team and driving operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in maintenance or facilities management, prior SNF/LTC exposure, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in maintenance or facilities management.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care (LTC) setting is required.
• Proven leadership experience managing a maintenance team.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support a team of maintenance technicians, custodians, and groundskeepers.
• Oversee housekeeping and repair of facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical).
• Develop and manage maintenance schedules, preventative programs, and budgets.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed efficiently with minimal disruption to residents and operations.
• Coordinate work by outside contractors and service vendors.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
• Stay informed on trends and best practices in facility maintenance and management.
• Flexible in working any given shift, especially on weekends.

Aventura at Pembrooke is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Director to lead our facility maintenance operations and ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including repairs, preventative maintenance, renovations, and capital improvement projects. Key Responsibilities
