Job summary

Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community on James Island is hiring a Full-Time Line Cook to join our independent living culinary team. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday from 10:30am to 8pm, Sunday 8am-3:30pm, with Thursdays and Fridays OFF.

As a not-for-profit, faith-based retirement community affiliated with the Episcopal Church, we offer a vibrant, supportive kitchen environment and opportunities to work with a dedicated team in a renowned life-enrichment setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of line cook or restaurant experience.
• Culinary degree preferred, but not required.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate hot and cold dishes with creativity and precision.
• Work independently in a fast-paced, à la carte environment.
• Follow safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.
