Dental, vision, critical illness and injury coverage, long term care, pet insurance etc.Laboratory TechnicianJob Summary:This position is responsible in part to perform phlebotomy, conduct chemical analysis of body fluids, operate and maintain laboratory equipment and perform required quality control measures established in part by the laboratory supervisor in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Duties/Responsibilities:ClinicalPerform phlebotomySet up, operate, maintain, and clean laboratory equipmentPrepare laboratory samples and analyzePerform all quality control required on: equipment and testing materialsRoutinely monitor all equipment and testing materials to ensure accuracyReport results to necessary entitiesMaintain all records including patient results in accordance to state regulationsAssist in training and/or directing all others engaged in laboratory testingKnowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutionsBe able to occasionally transport laboratory specimens to/from other locationsProviding personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patientsOther duties as assignedStaffKnowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.Have computer skills.Work well in a fast-paced setting.Be organized.Be detail oriented.Have multi-tasking skills.Have critical thinking skills and be able to troubleshoot, identify, and solve laboratory related problemsEstablish constructive working relationships with others at work and maintain them over time.Experience:Experience in a clinical or medical practice setting is preferred.Education Requirements:Some clinical education is preferred.Working Conditions:This position must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
