Job Description

Job Purpose: Under the guidance of the Front Office Manager, perform duties related to arriving and in-house guests, ensuring high-quality, personalized service, an engaging guest experience, and maintaining our guest recognition program.

Responsibilities include:
  • Welcoming, greeting, and checking in guests
  • Providing knowledgeable information about the hotel, services, and local happenings
  • Handling requests accurately and following up appropriately
  • Differentiating guest types and managing their needs accordingly
  • Following up on arrivals, reservations, and account inquiries
  • Addressing guest requests, incidents, or thefts promptly and recording them
  • Updating and maintaining guest feedback and confidentiality standards
  • Managing supplies and completing reports during shifts
  • Encouraging up-selling to maximize rates
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities
  • Effective communication with team members and guests
  • Remaining calm during emergencies or busy periods
  • Making decisions based on experience and good judgment
  • Ensuring compliance with operational policies including health and safety, hygiene, and emergency procedures
Supportive Functions
  • Attending meetings and participating in community events
  • Using software tools such as Microsoft Office, Opera, and others
  • Maintaining confidentiality and organization
  • Demonstrating leadership and ensuring policy compliance
Other Duties

Understanding and supporting company culture, maintaining regular attendance, and working varied schedules as needed.

Safety Requirements

Use of PPE when necessary, ability to lift heavy packages, and safe handling of equipment are required.

Grooming/Uniforms

Employees should maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s preferred
  • 1-2 years in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel
  • Ability to work overnight shifts
  • Proficiency in hotel management and office software preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
