Job summary

RiverWoods Durham is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our Dining team in a Full-Time role. Typical shifts run 10:00am to 8:00pm with flexible options and a weekend day commitment.

The position emphasizes quality, sanitation, and resident-focused service in a comfortable, set-schedule environment. We offer competitive pay of $20/hr or more DOE, medical/dental insurance within 30 days, a 403(b) with company match, earned time off starting at 15 days, holidays and personal days, wellness

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/ HiSET.
• 2-4 years Culinary experience preferred as a Line Cook.
• ServSafe Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all the hot and cold food items on menu for residents and personnel according to production sheets and standardized recipes.
• Maintains the highest standards of sanitation, food handling practices in performing food production tasks.
• Meets daily with the Sous Chef and/or Director of Culinary Operations to review and confirm daily production amounts, culinary techniques and timing for resident meal services and special functions.
• Attends in service trainings
• Maintains a clean, pristine and safe work environment

Full Time Line Cook RiverWoods Durham is currently hiring for experienced Line Cook to join our Dining team! Enjoy working Full Time with benefits without having to work late nights! Typical shifts run between 10:00am and 8:00pm; Flexible Schedule options exist but typically would include 1 weekend day a week. Unlike the hustle and bustle of standard restaurants, ours provides more of a set schedule and offers you the ability to make a difference every day. The ideal candidate will understand and perform a variety of culinary concepts working with whole food items, able to operate a safe and sanitary workspace, have flexibility to work various stations and contribute to the resident experience by ensuring quality and consistency.
