Job summary

Pioneer Ridge Health & Rehab is seeking a Charge RN/LPN to join our team. You will work under the supervision of the Director of Nursing to direct, administer and record the care given to residents in this facility. The Charge Nurse reports to the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to residents according to care plans and may involve conferences with physician, patient, family, and other staff.
• Monitor work of nursing staff in unit and assist with tasks as needed.
• Communicate with patient and family regarding education and progress.
• Review and maintain clinical records required for patient care and progress.
• Review weekly reports to ensure compliance with State and Federal requirements including infection control, bloodborne pathogens, hazardous materials and fire safety.

• Provide a provision of care to patients in accordance with their care plans. May require conferences with physician, patient, family members and other staff involved with patient’s care.

• Monitor work of other nursing staff in unit to insure thoroughness and assist with tasks as needed.

• Communicate with patient and family regarding education and progress of patient.

• Review and maintain all clinical records, which are required for patient’s care and progress.

• Review weekly reports to monitor personal and staff compliance to all State and Federal requirements including blood borne pathogens, hazardous materials, infection control, and fire safety
