Halstead Health & Rehab is seeking a night shift Charge RN or LPN to join our team. You will direct, administer and record care for residents under the DON and report to the Director of Nursing.

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license in Kansas.
• Experience supervising nursing staff preferred.
• Ability to work night shift and collaborate with DON.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to residents per their care plans and coordinate with physicians, patients, families and staff.
• Monitor and support nursing staff to ensure thorough care and assist as needed.
• Communicate progress and education to patients and families.
• Review and maintain clinical records required for patient care and progress.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal requirements including infection control and safety protocols.

As a Charge RN/LPN, you will work under the general supervision of the DON to direct, administer and record the care given to residents in this facility. The Charge Nurse reports to the Director of Nursing.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide a provision of care to patients in accordance with their care plans. May require conferences with physician, patient, family members and other staff involved with patient’s care.
• Monitor work of other nursing staff in unit to insure thoroughness and assist with tasks as needed.
• Communicate with patient and family regarding education and progress of patient.
• Review and maintain all clinical records, which are required for patient’s care and progress.
• Review weekly reports to monitor personal and staff compliance to all State and Federal requirements including blood borne pathogens, hazardous materials, infection control, and fire safety
