Job summary

St. Paul’s Assisted Living in Indiana is seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team, preparing nutritious meals for residents and ensuring meals meet dietary guidelines.

The ideal candidate has Serve Safe certification and proven kitchen experience in healthcare, with the ability to work evenings and collaborate with the Dietary Manager to create appealing menus. Qualifications

  • Serve Safe Certification required and experience in a residential or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques, nutrition, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff and residents.

St. Paul’s Assisted Living is seeking an experienced and dedicated Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate is passionate about preparing nutritious and appealing meals, has strong attention to detail, and demonstrates a commitment to serving our residents with care and professionalism. As a key member of our team, you will help create a dining experience that feels like home for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals following established menus, dietary guidelines, and residents' preferences.
  • Ensure food is cooked and served at safe temperatures and in compliance with Serve Safe standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Dietary Manager and team to plan menus that meet nutritional requirements and dietary restrictions.
  • Monitor inventory levels, assist with food ordering, and manage waste to minimize costs.
  • Train and guide kitchen staff as needed to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Engage with residents and staff to foster a welcoming and respectful atmosphere in the dining area.
  • Address special dietary needs or allergies with attention to detail and care.
