Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is hiring a Full-Time Certified Surgical Tech for Prince William Surgery Center. The role supports the surgical team by scrubbing for procedures and maintaining sterile supplies and equipment.

Under supervision, the technologist prepares instruments, collaborates with physicians and staff, and participates in quality improvement activities to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program or equivalent.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Teamwork and strong communication with staff, patients, and physicians.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions.

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. This individual prepares and maintains supplies, instruments and equipment related to these procedures. The ideal candidate will support the philosophy, objective and goals of the Surgery Center and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
